Communication, Culture and Media

Research in communication, cultural and media studies is undertaken in this Space and covers broad fields of world leading research such as journalism, film practice, photography, theory, history, institutional, policy, textual, as well as critical and empirical analysis, or practice within communication, culture, media, journalism and film studies. Research staff are engaged in a wide variety of research activities, including research on print media, broadcasting and the moving image, and will include computer-mediated communication, popular culture, and diverse information and communication technologies. Taking advantage of the significant size of the Faculty of Culture and Creative Industries, researchers engage extensively with transdisciplinary and interdisciplinary projects with strong local, national and international impacts.
